EATING DISORDER CLINICIAN
Karly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian holding a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours). She is dedicated to helping individuals cultivate a healthy relationship with food, their body and their health. She enjoys helping her clients to learn to trust their body and to be able to eat in a way that feels less complicated and free from rules and restrictions.
With experience gained from working in private practice and government programs, Karly provides comprehensive dietary support across a wide range of nutritional issues. Karly utilises Non-diet and Health at Every Size (HAES®) principles in her practice. She additionally embraces neurodiversity affirming and trauma informed care to respect the diverse stories, perspectives and needs of each person she works with. She has a special interest supporting clients to heal their relationship with food, whether that’s due to an eating disorder, disordered eating or a history of chronic dieting.
In addition to her expertise in eating disorders, Karly works with a wide range of nutritional and health concerns. She supports clients dealing with chronic conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and other gastrointestinal disorders. Karly is also experienced in addressing women's health issues, including nutrition for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and menopause. She provides guidance for general nutrition and wellbeing, helping clients manage conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Karly is dedicated to supporting neurodivergent individuals by tailoring nutrition care to accommodate their unique needs, preferences, and sensory experiences. She also assists clients navigating mental health conditions.
Karly practices with gentleness, compassion, and empathy, creating a supportive and nurturing environment for all her clients. She strives to be client centred to work alongside her clients to build a healthier relationship with food and their bodies, learn how to manage a specific health condition or concern and improve their overall wellbeing.
