WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGY
Psychology at Self Reflections offers a transformative journey for those navigating mental health challenges or seeking deeper self-understanding.
Our approach is tailored to individuals who are ready to explore and grow, providing a supportive space for healing and personal development.
Through engaging with our psychology services, you can expect compassionate guidance as you uncover insights about your emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns.
WHO IS IT FOR
Our focus is on fostering a positive and enlightening experience, helping you move towards a state of improved well-being and fulfillment. Whether you're dealing with specific symptoms or simply striving for a deeper connection with yourself, our team is here to support your journey every step of the way.
Our psychology services are designed for those who are experiencing mental health symptoms or distress and are committed to understanding themselves on a deeper level. Our approach is ideal for individuals seeking to address specific emotional or behavioral challenges, or for those who are ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. We provide a nurturing environment for anyone looking to engage actively in their treatment and make meaningful changes in their lives.
Our Psychological services may not be the best fit for individuals who are generally doing well and not experiencing significant mental health symptoms or diagnoses. Our Coaching services may be better suited if you need support. Additionally, our approach requires a readiness to engage in the therapeutic process, so it might not be suitable for those who are not yet prepared to commit to ongoing treatment. We aim to provide the most effective care for our clients, and part of that involves ensuring that our services align with the needs and readiness of each individual.

POLICIES
PAYMENT POLICY
Payment for sessions is required to be made at the time of your appointment. This is a standard practice that reflects the value of the services provided and supports the smooth operation of our clinic.
If payment is not received for any reason, all future appointments are placed on hold until the outstanding payment is settled.
We do not offer payment plans for attended sessions. If you are unable to afford an appointment, we kindly ask that you make the decision well in advance to cancel the session, allowing another client the opportunity to book.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to the high demand of services, 24 hour’s notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please note, the notice period excludes Sundays, public holidays and clinic closure days/periods. Less than 24 hours notice limits our ability to provide services to others in need and will incur a charge of 50% of the appointment fee.
If more than two cancellations occur with less than 24 hours notice, then future cancellations within the notice period will incur a charge of 100% of the appointment fee. If three consecutive cancellations have been made, your Clinician reserves the right to cancel future appointments and refuse further services. If a third party is paying for your consultations, then the cancellation fee will be payable by yourself personally unless otherwise stated on your Service Agreement.

NON ATTENDANCE POLICY
If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, do not call us to cancel / reschedule outside the cancellation notice period above, or you contact us to cancel your appointment once your session has commenced, 100% of the appointment fee is charged.
If you do not attend two consecutive appointments, your Clinician reserves the right to cancel future appointments and refuse further services. If a third party is paying for your consultations, then the non attendance fee will be payable by yourself personally unless otherwise stated on your Service Agreement.

MEDICARE REBATES
Medicare rebates are available for psychological treatment of eligible mental health conditions.
You will be able to claim a portion of your fees from Medicare if your doctor assesses you to be eligible for psychological services under Medicare, and if you have a referral and a care plan from your doctor. The number of rebates available to you depends on the plan your GP has deemed most appropriate to your condition. This will be explained to you by your GP as well as on your first appointment.
