BILLING & PAYMENT POLICY
As of 1st October 2026.

From 1 October 2026, Self Reflections is updating its fees and payment processes in response to changes to card payment arrangements in Australia.

PSYCHOLOGY & DIETETIC FEES

Fees for psychology and dietetic services will increase by $5 per appointment from 1 October 2026.

This will be the standard service fee regardless of whether payment is made by card, cash or bank transfer. No separate card processing surcharge will apply.

Our usual fee arrangements continue to apply, including different fees for clinician tiers, appointment lengths, after-hours appointments and other service types.

PAYMENT FOR APPOINTMENTS

Payment is required on the day of service.

For in-person appointments, payment will be completed at reception following your appointment. Card payments must be made using your physical card or an eligible digital wallet on your phone/device via tap, insert or swipe. Cash and bank transfer remain available.

For telehealth appointments, payment can be made by bank transfer or via a secure payment link provided by Self Reflections.

Where applicable, Medicare Easyclaim and eligible private health claims may be processed through reception.

ASSESSMENTS, REPORTS, LETTERS & ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Existing fees for assessments, reports, letters and other additional services will continue to apply.

Payment for these services will be accepted by bank transfer or cash. Where an additional fee applies, you will be advised of the cost before the work is undertaken.

CARD DETAILS HELD ON FILE

A valid debit or credit card will continue to be required to securely hold appointments with Self Reflections.

Stored card details will not ordinarily be used for routine appointment payments.

Your stored card may be used for fees that become payable under our Cancellation & Non-Attendance Policy, or for other authorised outstanding amounts that cannot be collected through our usual payment process.

Where an outstanding amount is not already authorised under an applicable policy, we will notify you before processing the payment.

Card details are securely stored through our practice management and payment providers. Self Reflections does not directly store your complete card details.

MEDICARE, PRIVATE HEALTH & THIRD PARTY FUNDING

Eligibility for Medicare, private health insurance or third-party funding remains subject to the requirements of the relevant referral, insurer or funding body.

Clients remain responsible for any gap, excluded amount or fee not covered by their funding arrangement.

Medicare and private health rebates do not apply to cancellation or non-attendance fees.

OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS

Outstanding fees may need to be paid before further appointments or services are provided.

Overdue accounts may be referred for debt recovery in accordance with our existing financial terms.
